Oilseeds limited impurity content after cleaning up is as below:
Cold oil pressing soybean: < 0.05
High temperature oil pressing soybean: < 0.1
Sunflower kernels (with shell) : <10

Crushing section uses crusher to crush oilseeds into small broken particles, which is very important process during oil press machine. The purpose of crushing is to change big raw oilseeds materials into particles for convenience of further step flaking.
This process reduces larger seeds to a smaller particle size prior to subsequent rolling and conditioning. Equipment used for the operation basically falls into two categories depending on the material being processed. Swing or fixed hammer grinders are used for hard seeds like palm kernel and copra which require a hammer mill pulverising action.

The flaking section is the process of making oil pellets into slice by mechanical principle. It can destroy cell tissue of oil seed, and create favorable cooking conditions so that oil can be successfully separated when oil pressing or extraction.

Oilseed drying section can reduce moisture of oilseeds to suitable moisture through dehydration process. Sometimes when oilseeds harvest is during the rainy season with high moisture content, oilseeds drying process is necessary for further oil pressing.
Drying section can preheat oilseeds, wherein part of water can be vaporized, oilseeds moisture can gradually vaporize and escape into atmosphere. Drying device uses hot air drying apparatus for drying and achieves fast dehydration of oilseeds.
Drying equipment during oil press machine processing line contains rotary dryer, vibrating fluid dryer and flat layer.
Modern expanding technology greatly improves oil yield of oil seeds. After pretreatment process, some oil seeds are of large-sized powder and oil impassability, the extraction process will be hard with high solvent consumption and residual oil. Expanding technology is adopted in order to solve the problem. After expansion, the material becomes larger, more permeable, and the inner oil channel is fully opened, which makes the extraction much easier. Under the same conditions, residual oil and solvent consumption will decrease greatly, and the yield will improve 50-80%. Expansion can also passivate antinutritional factors in soybean—urease, improve palatability and nutritive value.
